Mark Davidson

Mark is serving in his 27th year in public education. For 23 of these years, he has served as an administrator. From his early time as the Vice-principal in a small, rural elementary school through service as Principal of several rural and urban high schools to his current role as Superintendent of Medicine Hat Public School Division, Mark has sought to live by his belief in “supportive accountability”; the notion that individuals and systems improve when data, research and challenging dialogue about the meaning of our work are applied to empower professionals.

Mark is husband to Holly and father to four children (three girls and a boy) ranging in age from 12 to 20. He serves as an officer with the South Alberta Light Horse: a reserve armoured reconnaissance unit. He holds a Bachelor of Education and Master of Education from the University of Calgary and is a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Western Ontario.
