I began my teaching career with Sturgeon School Division in 2005. I taught for two years in grade two, a year of grade three and then one year in the grade one LOGOS program. After getting married, I left the city life to live on the farm. It was then that I continued my teaching career with Northern Lights Public Schools. Since arriving here in 2009, I have taught Kindergarten and grade one at Vera M. Welsh School. The past two years, I have a new role as the Inclusive Education Coordinator (SST Coordinator) here at Vera M. Welsh. I enjoy assisting students and staff to ensure that everyone has a positive and successful year. My favourite things about being an educator are building relationships with students and their families and supporting people to learn and thrive in all areas of life. In my free time, I enjoy spending time at home on our farm with my husband and two children. We spend much time outdoors quadding, exploring and learning together.
